レジストリは不使用（v3.35以前は、Windowsディレクトリに“iniファイル”を置いていた）。
多機能なのに軽いのがいい。

言語ファイルの導入で、多言語に対応。
デフォルトで多種の画像ファイルの他、動画にも対応。
「世界で初めて」 アニメーションGIF に対応したグラフィックビューア、だとか。
種々のフィルタに対応する他、プラグインの導入でさらに対応ファイルが増える。
ビューアの位置付けながら、簡単な画像処理なら可能なのが魅力。
いつからか、ADFからの連番指定での連続取り込みも可能になったので一石三鳥レベルの活用度合い。
v4.28から、キー操作で選択範囲を変更できるようになったのが便利（カーソルキーで選択範囲の移動、［Alt］キー＋カーソルキーで選択範囲の縦・横幅の拡大縮小、［Ctrl］キー＋カーソルキーで選択範囲の縦横比を保ったまま範囲の拡大縮小）。また、［Shift］＋左クリックでクリックした場所の色を取得して16進数のカラーコードをクリップボードにコピーできるようになった。また、［Fit to window height］と［Fit to window width］項目の追加により、ウィンドウの高さまたは幅に画像を合わせられるようになった。
v4.25から、プラグイン導入によりOCRに対応した。
v3.99から、プラグインによりPDF保存に対応したのも良い。
